Studio Mousseau has worked in the commercial art market for 15 years: commercial illustration, graphic design and, in the later years, designing and art directing for both the open edition print and licensing markets. Much to the disappointment of her mother, a book store owner, Miss Mousseau fell in love with (fashion and home decor) magazines at a very young age. To this day, a trip to the news stand is one of her favorite pastimes, and where she finds a great deal of her creative inspiration in the home decor, design and fashion sections. Studio Mousseau features multi media and painted work in acrylics. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.
